During our study trip to London we were send to different places of the city to have a closer look at special places and to get in touch with the people and architectural settings.

I visited Brixton for the first time in my live and i was totally overwhelmed by the vitality of this urban district. There were such a lot of people on the street, attending to there businesses, selling things or just meeting somewhere and talking about something. Originally  i wanted to join a group of people preparing a “Cardboard furniture creation workshop” – an offer from the organisation Transition Town Brixton (http://www.transitiontownbrixton.org/), but unfortunately i missed them.

So I walked through the district and found a lot of interesting things out there. For example “Brixton Village” which is kind of an indoor-marked but with really great shops that focus on sustainability and ecology.
